2019 AHPA Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The Annual General Meeting of the Arthritis Health Professions Association will be held on Friday March 1, 2019 at 12:30 pm EST at Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, 900 boulevard Rene Levesque Ouest, Montreal, QC H3B 4A5. Room Av. Duluth

All members of AHPA are encouraged to participate in this meeting.

If members are unable to attend and wish to participate in the election of the Board of Directors, they must complete the proxy voting form. 

AGM Documents will be available in February for review once members sign in and view the home page of the website.

INTERESTED IN BECOMING AN AHPA BOARD DIRECTOR?  

The AHPA Board is a dynamic group of individuals, with national representation, all with a common interest in care provision, education, and research related to arthritis.  

We are currently accepting nominations for 4 positions on the AHPA Board of Directors.  Elections will be held at the AHPA Annual General Meeting in Montreal, Quebec on 01 March, 2019 during the 2019 Annual CRA Scientific Meeting and AHPA Annual Meeting.

We are seeking individuals with an interest in the following Board responsibilities:

  • President Elect
  • Communications Committee Chair
  • Membership Committee Chair
  • Member at Large Western Canada

AHPA Board Planning Meeting - New & Returning Board Members

March 1, 2019

 

The Eleventh Annual AHPA Pre-course will be held at the Canadian Rheumatology Association/Arthritis Health Professions Association annual meeting on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Fairmont, The Queen Elizabeth in Montreal, Quebec.

Bursary application closed.

BURSARY INFORMATION

There will be a limited number of travel bursaries, available to apply for, please read carefully the information below:

  • Applications for travel bursaries will open on December 3, 2018 at noon EST. Successful applicants will be notified by December 14th.
  • You MUST be an AHPA member in good standing for the 2019 membership year at the time of your application to apply for the travel bursary.  All applications for non-members will be rejected. 
  • Bursaries will be awarded on a criteria basis.  Criteria are as follows:
  1. Receipt of prior bursary,
  2. Involvement in rheumatology,
  3. Essay question (Why attending the pre-course would benefit you?),
  4. First come first serve. 
  • Priority will be given to those who have not received funding in the past.
  • Numbers are very limited.  A wait list will be maintained beyond the numbers available.  Successful applicants will be notified by e-mail
  • Registration for the Pre-course and the CRA meeting will be done through the CRA website. Note: this is separate from the pre-course bursary application process.  You still must register for the pre-course on the registration website.  Early bird deadline for the meeting closes January 10, 2019.  You may attend the pre-course if you register for it even if you have not received a bursary. 
  • You must send proof of CRA registration within 5 days of receiving bursary to connect@ahpa.ca
  • You must attend the entire pre-course in order to receive your bursary.
