AHPA Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The AHPA Board is a dynamic group of individuals, with national representation, all with a common interest in care provision, education, and research related to arthritis.  

We are currently accepting nominations for 6 positions on the AHPA Board of Directors.  Elections will be held at the AHPA Annual General Meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia on February 23, 2018 during the 2018 Annual CRA Scientific Meeting and AHPA Annual Meeting.

The Tenth Annual AHPA Pre-course will be held at the Canadian Rheumatology Association/Arthritis Health Professions Association annual meeting on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the JW Marriott parq Vancouver & the DOUGLAS, Vancouver, British Columbia

There will be a limited number of travel bursaries, available to apply for, please read carefully the information below:

  • Applications for travel bursaries will open on December 8, 2017 at noon EST. Successful applicants will be notified by December 15th.
  • You MUST be an AHPA member in good standing for the 2018 membership year at the time of your application to apply for the travel bursary.  All applications for non-members will be rejected. 
  • Bursaries will be awarded on a criteria basis.  Criteria are as follows:

1. Receipt of prior bursary,
2. Involvement in rheumatology /arthritis care
3. Essay question (Why attending the pre-course would benefit you?) 
4. First come first serve. 

  • Priority will be given to those who have not received funding in the past.
  • Numbers are very limited.  A wait list will be maintained beyond the numbers available.  Successful applicants will be notified by e-mail
  • Registration for the Pre-course and the CRA meeting will be done through the CRA website. Note: this is separate from the pre-course bursary application process.  You still must register for the pre-course on the registration website.  Early bird deadline for the meeting closes January 5, 2018.  You may attend the pre-course if you register for it even if you have not received a bursary. 
  • You must send proof of CRA registration within 5 days of receiving bursary to
  • You must attend and complete the pre-course in order to receive your bursary.
