Dear AHPA Members,
The 2017 ORA Annual General Meeting is coming soon! AHPA has partnered with the Ontario Rheumatology Association to plan for the meeting, where 40 spaces will be available for AHPA members from Ontario. As the ORA is supporting AHP participation, the registration fee will only be $175.00. Mark in your calendars to join us on May 26-28, 2017 @ JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort in Minett, Ontario.
The theme this year is "Putting the Evidence in Evidence-Based Medicine: From Inflammatory to Crystal to Mechanical Rheumatic Diseases." The ORA is preparing an agenda that is sure to deliver a wealth of learning opportunities!
Internationally acclaimed Rheumatologist, Dr. Roy Fleischmann (Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Centre with private practice at Rheumatology Associates, Dallas Texas) will deliver a plenary session and host a ‘Meet the Professor’ workshop. Suzanne McGurn (Assistant Deputy Minister and Executive Officer, Ontario Public Drug Programs) is back by popular demand and will provide us with a much-anticipated Pharmacare Update.
Continuing with the interactive workshop format, this year will feature a unique and full range of topics including a session on Physician Burnout, Vasculitis, Crystal Arthritis, Office Management, Evidenced-Based Pain, and a Models of Care Panel including Allied Health Professionals and more!
A new and improved Poster Session will be scheduled on Friday evening. AHPA members are invited to submit poster presentation applications (more details to follow). Saturday morning will include another exciting Breakfast Symposium, while Sunday will feature a variety of Thieves’ Market cases. Take advantage of these unique learning opportunities as well as a chance to engage with your peers.
Event registration will open in mid-March. Keep an eye out for the upcoming announcement email. We’ll look forward to seeing you! If you have any questions about the upcoming meeting, please contact Lynn Richards at email@example.com
