Rashmi Mandhane is a clinical physical therapist at the University of Alberta Hospital working in the field of rheumatology. She completed the Advanced Practitioner in Arthritis Care Program (ACPAC) in 2015. She works with the Edmonton area rheumatologists, providing services to Albertans living in the northern half of the province. Rashmi is involved in group education programs for patients with rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. She also teaches the rheumatology curriculum for the physical therapy students at the University of Alberta. Rashmi represents Edmonton physical therapists on the Arthritis Working Group for Alberta’s Bone and Joint Health Strategic Clinical Network.
Rashmi has served on the Board of Directors of AHPA since 2012, initially as the Prairie Provinces Representative for 2 years, then Member-at-Large for Western Canada for another two years. Since our Annual General Meeting in 2016, she has added the Treasurer portfolio to her AHPA Member-at-Large Western Canada duties.
Rashmi lives in Edmonton with her husband and two daughters. In her fourth decade she has taken up skiing and skating in an attempt to keep active and to keep up with her daughters!
