Leslie has been actively involved in AHPA for several years. She was the Chair of the Professional and Career Development Committee from 2010-2012; President-Elect from 2012-14 and President from 2014- Present. Leslie is an Advanced Clinician Practitioner in Arthritis Care (ACPAC)-trained physiotherapist with a Master of Science from The Collaborative Program in Bioethics, at the University of Toronto. Clinical areas of interest are rheumatology and orthopaedic joint reconstruction. Leslie also has an interest in program evaluation as it relates to clinical roles and their impact on the larger healthcare system. She is currently employed at University Health Network in Toronto as a senior professional practice leader in the Collaborative Academic Practice portfolio where she supports the Musculoskeletal, Geriatrics, and Complex Continuing Care programs at Toronto Rehab. In addition to her leadership role, she has an advanced practice clinical role in osteoporosis and post-operative hip fracture. Leslie is a clinical lecturer in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto.
